Duties / Responsibilities :
- Fabricate components using various pieces of equipment in order to clean cut bend tack and weld parts ranging from simple weldments to complex assemblies; select appropriate methods for such fabrication based on available resources
- Meet daily production and quality demands
- Work with other team members and stake holders to develop weld / fabrication support documentation and best practices
- Ensure compliance with Industry Welding and Fabrication Standards
- Set up and maintain work area select and verify the materials and tooling needed for production
- Comply with health safety (including OSHA) and environmental procedures and ensure the cleanliness of the area
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings to ensure proper dimensions and specifications have been met for fabricated components
- Other duties as needed to support VSCs various racing programs
Required Skills / Abilities :
Strong mechanical aptitudeCurrent welding certification (or the ability to achieve it within 3 months)Ability to operate various types of welding and fabrication equipment and toolsAbility to read blueprints and technical drawings. Knowledge of GD&T is a plus.Strong familiarity with the use of precision measurement equipment used in productionExcellent time management skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailEducation and Experience :
High School Diploma or GED is requiredMinimum of three (3) years relevant welding and fabrication experienceProven ability to multi-task and work comfortably in a fast-paced often-changing environment including excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibilityProven ability to be a team player with high integrity is a mustPhysical Requirements :
