TAP Transition Counselor

Choctaw Global seeks a passionate and dedicated TAP Transition Counselor to join our team, focused on facilitating the successful transition of veterans to civilian employment and education. As part of the Community & Social Services department, the TAP Transition Counselor plays a crucial role in delivering personalized counseling, guidance, and support to veterans, ensuring they have access to the resources necessary for a smooth and successful transition. This role is instrumental in empowering our nation's veterans as they reintegrate into civilian life, contributing to Choctaw Global's mission of community advancement and economic development. Conduct personalized counseling sessions with veterans to assess their needs and career goals. Develop individual transition plans outlining steps to achieve employment, education, or training objectives. Connect veterans with appropriate job openings, educational programs, and training opportunities. Organize and facilitate workshops and seminars on resume writing, interview skills, and job search strategies. Maintain comprehensive records of veterans' progress and services provided. Collaborate with local employers to explore employment opportunities for veterans. Keep abreast of the latest resources and programs available to veterans in the job market and higher education.
