Position Summary :
As a Medical Billing Collections Specialist, you will manage and follow up on outstanding insurance claims, resolve denials, and ensure timely corrections within a high-volume portfolio. This position collaborates closely with the Manager of Revenue Cycle.
Position Details :
Location : Corporate office in Northbrook, IL (no remote work available)Full-time hours from 8am to 4 : 30pmCompensation : $25-$30 per hour depending on experience and qualificationsKey Responsibilities :
Use a dialer to contact insurance companies regarding claim status, payment requests, and resolution of denials or delays.Review and address insurance denial codes, taking corrective action as necessary.Interact with USA Vein Clinics leadership and provide regular performance updates.Document all insurance interactions accurately.Analyze and correct claims using appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and diagnosis codes.Resubmit corrected claims and appeals promptly and accurately.Ensure compliance of all collection efforts with applicable rules and regulations.Qualifications :
3+ years of medical collections experience, preferably within a clinic or hospital setting.Immediate availability to work full-time onsite (remote work is not an option).Strong interpersonal skills and ability to navigate problem-solving and conflict resolution.Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Products : Outlook, Word, Excel, and the ability to effectively use payer websites.Proficient understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and diagnosis codes.Experience in insurance denial management, along with a keen ability to interpret EOBs / EORs.Spanish fluency is preferred.Benefits :
