Position Summary
The Small animal Internal Medicine Veterinary Assistant will provide animal care via feed, water, walk, transport, restrain, groom. Stocking of area and supplies, maintain clinical records, assure facility cleanliness. Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Assist senior veterinary staff with animal care.

Properly handle and restrain various species of animals, understanding of basic animal health terminology, effective communication skills.

Duties / Responsibilities
Patient Management : manages all aspects of the patient's treatment and assisting Licensed Veterinary Technicians in nursing care. This includes, but is not limited to, physical examinations, phlebotomy and sample collection needs, all medication and fluid administration, and crucial thinking for all aspects of case management. Informs attending clinician on any needs, changes or decomposition of the patient's condition in an informed and timely manner. Provide intermediate animal care to patients : walk, water, feed, transport, restrain, groom. Lifting up to 50 lbs. or above.
