Description : Job Summary

The Packaging Technician’s primary responsibilities will be the daily packaging of liquid (hard cider) into bottles, cans and keg packages, operate packaging machinery, and the cleaning and sanitation of the packaging areas and machinery. Additionally, the Packaging Technician will be responsible for their own safety, ensuring the safety of their peers, and working closely with all production departments to ensure the highest product quality.

Essential Responsibilities

The following list of essential job duties is not all-inclusive; the Packaging Technician is required to perform other duties as directed by management.

• Working as a team member in producing a high volume of quality hard cider in a safe and efficient manner
• Learn, understand and execute packaging operations according to process instructions and / or standard operation procedures (SOP’s)
• Regular attendance, arriving on time, in order to work packaging shifts as scheduled by the packaging manager
• Work in tandem with other Packaging Technicians, Supervisors, Managers, and other BHC personal
• Help-out as needed in all other parts of the BHC production building (Team Player)
• Keep the packaging areas and workspaces clean and organized
• Maintain packaging tools, equipment, and materials by using them to their designed intent
• Ensure finished product is safely and neatly stored in its appropriate area, and logged accurately each day
• Count and log all consumed packaging materials, destroyed materials, and defective (failed quality) goods each day
• Complete all paperwork associated with each duty to 100% accuracy
• Assist co-workers and cross-train employees in other departments, new hires, and other personal as asked
• Communicate to the production team any inventory shortages or other potential issues that may occur
• Maintain a positive attitude and act in accordance to BHC company goals
• Make a positive contribution to the team through attitude, ideas, and work ethic
• Always conduct ones-self in a professional and cooperative manner
• Ensure that your time is being used efficiently and effectively every day
