Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center, a partnered organization of Premier Orthopaedics, is looking for a Pre-Registration Representative to work at our Aston Location. Premier Orthopaedics is a full-service orthopaedic practice formed in 2000 that specializes in the diagnosis and care for a wide range of orthopaedic injuries and conditions. Job Summary :

The Pre-Registration Representative is responsible for verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining authorizations, and confirming referrals to ensure all requirements are met before clinic appointments. This position requires exceptional customer service skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. You must be friendly, efficient, and proactive while ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every patient.

Education :

High school diploma / GED required

Experience :

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in insurance verification, front office or medical billing. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Familiarity with insurance terms, policies and procedures. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in using online insurance portals.

Position Responsibilities :

Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients scheduled for services. Obtaining referrals from primary care providers and / or insurance websites as assigned. Contact insurance companies via phone, email, or online insurance portals to obtain benefit details. Document and update insurance information in the patient account in the Athena system. Address and resolve any discrepancies related to insurance verification. Maintain detailed notes regarding insurance verification activities in the patient Athena account. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding patient privacy and insurance verification processes.
