Summary
The Production Scheduler is responsible for creating, coordinating, and monitoring daily and weekly production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders. This role collaborates closely with operations, inventory control, procurement, and logistics to align production output with capacity and material availability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity
- Monitor work-in-progress and adjust schedules as needed due to delays, equipment breakdowns, or material shortages
- Communicate schedule updates to production, warehouse, and customer service teams
- Collaborate with procurement and inventory staff to ensure timely availability of raw materials
- Track performance against the schedule and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain ERP or scheduling system accuracy with real-time updates
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation as needed
- Prepare and distribute daily / weekly reports on scheduling status and KPIs

Education and / or Experience
Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred but not requiredMinimum 3-5 yrs. experience in related field within manufacturing settingExperience with ERP / MRP systems requiredEpicor preferred but not requiredMicrosoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) experience requiredHigh level of proficiency in Excel and WordFluency in English (read & write)Analytical skillsLean Manufacturing training and / or experience not necessary, but a plus.Creative, organized, and self-motivated.Good written and oral communication skills.Able to work on multiple projects and priorities and adapt to changing situations.Ability to accurately interpret blueprints and customer specifications.Accurate data entry skills requiredAbility to establish a positive relationship with employees at all levelsTeam playerDynamic, quickly respond to ever changing environmentProblem solving skillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
