Our Financial Services EY EDGE practice is made up of a team of professionals providing dedicated tax technical services to both US and global clients. EY's State and Local ("SALT") team is a growing practice within the organization, and you'll see that growth reflected in your career. As a Tax Senior Manager, you'll see the financial services industry by being immersed in the evolving state and local tax environment through a diverse set of experiences in serving hedge fund, private equity, banking and real estate clients.
Your key responsibilities include analyzing an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights, identifying potential opportunities and risks and communicating these to our clients, learning and researching current market trends, developing clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve our clients' tax activities, and supervising a motivated team of professionals.
To qualify for the role, you must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline, CPA, licensed Attorney or EA, a minimum of 8 years professional knowledge in a broad range of state and local Income / Franchise tax processes, concepts and tools, experience managing budgets, people and projects, a proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization, technical writing and research experience in a tax @context, the ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects, and strong influencing skills.
