Machine Operator - 2nd shift position that trains on 1st shift for 6 weeks.

Shifts :

1st shift training is M-F 8am-4pm

2nd shift after training is 4pm-12am

Pay : $17 during training and increases to $18.75 after training and moving to 2nd shift.

We are looking for a consistent work history with experience operating production machinery.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION :

Performs functions to operate the bunchers to twist various gauge size reels of wire into flexible electrical conductor as required to meet production schedules.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Responsible for properly setting up and stringing up the bunchers.
• Responsible for operating the bunchers to twist copper wire to the required dimensions at the proper machine speed to produce reels of flexible electrical conductor in various gauge sizes.
• Responsible for staging reels of wire, placing them in the pay off and pressure welding the wires together to setup the machines and maintain continuous production operation.
• Responsible for proper machinery setup, staging and placement of empty reels.
• Responsible for removing completed reels from the bunchers and preparing them for the next process.
• Responsible for quality of wire produced at the bunchers.
• Responsible for periodic checks to maintain the quality of the wire.
• Responsible for bunching dies necessary to run production.
• Responsible for completing scheduled production and logging downtime in the OHM system.
• Responsible for housekeeping in assigned work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
