27 Bed PCU-Stepdown Unit

Drips : Cardiac drips and titrate, NO vasopressor drips

Equipment :  Alaris pumps, Hoyer lift, BiPAP, Sara Stedy, PCA, GlucoStabilizer, bedside cardiac monitor

Patient Population :  Heart block, Chronic Cardiac, chest tubes

Scrubs : Navy blue, white, or any combination of the two colors.

Float : May float to other units to help with stepdown patients

Ratio

PCU (cardiac) RN

NO LOCAL TRAVELERS (within 50-mile radius)

MUST pass EKG Exam at Orientation (Study Guide Available in Simplify Library)

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required

Required to work every other weekend / major holiday
