Job Summary :The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The SLP works collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to support each student's ability to communicate effectively and access the curriculum.
- Responsibilities :
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech-language needs.
- Provide direct and indirect therapy to students in individual or group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate communication goals into classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, parent conferences, and IEP reviews.
- Educate and train staff and families on strategies to support speech and language development.
- Stay current with best practices and state / federal guidelines for speech-language services.
- Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid
- California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential
- (or eligible).
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Experience with evidence-based reading and speech programs (e.g.,
- SIPS
- Lindamood-Bell
- , or similar) preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
