POSITION SUMMARY :
This role reports to the Adult Ambulatory Coordinator and / or the Director of the Service and the Medical Director. As a Senior Clinician, you will provide both direct and indirect clinical services to adults requiring mental health care, ensuring age-appropriate treatment. Responsibilities include crisis assessment, intake assessments, individual and group therapy, family therapy, treatment planning, case management, collaboration with community partners, patient / family education, and discharge planning. You may also provide short-term flexible coverage for other Behavioral Health services as needed. EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION :
Master's degree and valid Connecticut licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).Required to maintain a valid driver's license with a public passenger endorsement and a clean driving record for Fleet Vehicle Program eligibility, as per Eastern Connecticut Health Network's Environment of Care Safety Policies.EXPERIENCE :
Competency in age-specific care and level of service necessary.Preferred training and familiarity with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), knowledge of reporting obligations regarding abuse and neglect, understanding community resources, and experience with pre-authorization and billing processes.COMPETENCIES :
Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook; exceptional clinical skills, strong team orientation, and effective communication abilities in English.Flexibility to meet both service-specific and overall system needs.Ability to function independently and effectively in a multitasking environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :
