Gastroenterology Locums Physician - North Carolina Join a hospital-employed GI team in North Carolina, near Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), for a high-acuity assignment with block scheduling and full procedural support. Highlights : 1-2 weeks per month - you pick the blocks Full procedural autonomy with RN / MA support Mix of inpatient and outpatient coverage Practice Setting : Work alongside a dedicated GI team - no APP supervision Hospital-employed RN and MA staff on site Assigned and unassigned patient rounds Schedule : Scheduled clinical hours plus 24-hour beeper call 30-minute call response time 3 admissions, 3 phone consults per shift Block scheduling available for flexibility Cases and Procedures : Bread-and-butter GI with advanced procedures Required : ERCP, EUS, PEG, liver biopsy Full upper / lower endoscopy, variceal injection, polyp excision High procedural volume in well-equipped facility Requirements : Board Certified in Gastroenterology Active North Carolina license BLS required Travel Accommodations : Travel and lodging provided
