HR Coordinator

We are seeking an HR Coordinator to support a dynamic, high-traffic Human Resources office with our Rockford, IL client. This contract to hire role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on helping employees, and can handle day-to-day HR activity with professionalism. This onsite position begins with HR administrative responsibilities but offers the opportunity to grow into a broader HR Generalist capacity over time. Work hours are Monday - Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM or 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM M-F.

HR Coordinator Responsibilities :

• Maintain employee files and HR records
• Assist with walk-in employee questions and requests and serve as first point of contact for employee questions
• Provide general support to the HR team
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic HR and payroll issues independently
• Direct employees appropriately with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with temporary staffing partners
• Assist with payroll-related inquiries and PTO tracking
• Coordinate employee recognition and engagement events and community outreach activities
