As a Business Growth Manager, you will lead strategic sales initiatives, cultivate new partnerships, and expand our presence across traditional and emerging channels. You'll engage with diverse stakeholders-from utility buying centers to city agencies and infrastructure partners-to deliver impactful solutions that support distributed energy management and electric vehicle (EV) operations. This role is ideal for a collaborative, customer-focused sales professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about driving growth through innovation.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline by identifying and engaging with ecosystem partners across traditional and emerging markets.
Develop and maintain authentic relationships with key stakeholders, including utility grid planners, city transit agencies, and infrastructure leaders.
Lead solution-based sales efforts focused on Distributed Energy Resources (DER), EV operations, and grid modernization, with a customer-centric approach.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Go-To-Market teams to tailor offerings to specific market segments, ensuring agility and alignment.
Represent Itron as a thought leader through presentations, industry events, and working groups, demonstrating accountability and innovation.
Navigate complex commercial negotiations involving legal and finance teams with professionalism and transparency.
Travel up to 50% as needed to support customer engagement and business development.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in complex solution sales or business development, preferably within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
Proven success in selling enterprise software and network solutions with a focus on customer outcomes.
Strong understanding of DER impacts on the electrical grid and ability to articulate relevant, innovative solutions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts in a clear, inclusive, and customer-friendly manner.
Demonstrated ability to build trust and long-term relationships with diverse customer groups.
Experience leading multifaceted deals involving cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience working with de-regulated utilities, city agencies, or infrastructure organizations.
Familiarity with EV-related programs and planning processes.
Background in sales enablement, go-to-market strategy, or product marketing.
Prior involvement in industry forums, symposiums, or online events as a speaker or contributor.

Pay Transparency Info :
Austin, TX : The base salary is $139,000 - $233,000.
San Jose, CA : The base salary is $161,000 - $265,000.
