Job description

Client Engagement Specialist

Join our dynamic Customer Service team where you will play a crucial role in assisting customers and outside sales representatives with their daily activities. This position involves handling customer inquiries, creating parts quotes, and providing support to our Inside and Outside Sales Teams as well as Market Development Managers. You will be an integral part of our growing business, interacting with various departments within a medium-sized organization.

Responsibilities :

  • Handle customer inquiries, requests, and troubleshoot orders.
  • Perform quoting activities and communicate order status to customers.
  • Address and resolve issues, manage product returns, and log customer complaints in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Material Planners, Shipping, and Accounting to expedite, check status, or change orders.
  • Answer phone calls from customers and assist them with similar requests as email inquiries.
  • Support and uphold the Quality and EHS policies.
  • Commit to the company's Core Values of Caring, Adding Value, and Teamwork.

Essential Skills :

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for interactions with Inside Sales, Outside Sales, other departments, and customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook for communication with internal and external customers.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily communications, including chat, video calls, and screen sharing.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize a comprehensive CRM system with precision in data entry.
  • Customer service, administrative support, data entry, communication, and writing skills.
  • Proficient use of Office365 tools.
  • Good communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications :

  • Ability to type 50 wpm.
  • Capability to handle escalations and write own emails without scripts.
  • Problem-solving skills and willingness for career growth in the Inside Sales Team, handling technical quoting.
  • Post-high school education and previous customer service or similar experience preferred.
  • Mathematical skills including ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and interpret graphs on Excel.
  • Work Environment :

    The role requires working from the office from 8 AM to 5 PM for the first six months, after which a hybrid work model with two days remote is available. The work involves regular use of a computer, frequent sitting and talking, occasional walking, standing, and reaching. You may be required to lift and / or move up to 10 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds very occasionally.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

    Pay and Benefits :

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
