Ideal Candidate

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing them for examination.
  • Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
  • Assist the Physician / Provider in the room by scribing notes.
  • Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
  • Prepare and collect path / lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow?up appointments.
  • Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms and stocking supplies.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment through cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
  • Other duties as assigned to the back office.

    • Education

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Medical Assistant training required.

    • Qualifications

  • 12 years of experience as a medical assistant in a medical office.
  • Prior dermatology and cosmetic experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
  • Strong phone etiquette.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Professional appearance and mannerisms.
  • Compassionate and caring toward patients and coworkers.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and seek guidance when needed.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast?paced environment.
  • Experience with electronic medical records.

    • Equipment Operated

    Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, and telephones.

    Physical Requirements

    Manual dexterity to operate office machines, stowing files, handling sharps, and chemicals; stooping, bending, and mobility for errands and deliveries.
