Are you ready to take the next step in your lending career? A well-capitalized, locally-owned community bank is expanding its commercial banking team in southern Illinois. This is a rare chance to move into a production lending role where relationships matter, decisions are local, and you’ll grow with genuine support.
What You’ll Do :
Partner with senior leadership to develop and manage business relationships including owner-occupied CRE, small- to mid-sized commercial borrowers, and select ag clients.
Structure and underwrite commercial credit (C&I and CRE) while building new customer relationships through community involvement and trusted referrals.
Cross-sell deposit, cash-management and business banking solutions to deepen borrower relationships.
Gain the autonomy to influence your portfolio, take ownership of your book, and make a visible impact in a community bank setting.
Who You Are :
4–8 years of banking experience (business banking, small-business lending, commercial credit analyst, or junior commercial role).
Strong analytical ability, comfortable reviewing financial statements and underwriting risk.
Natural relationship-builder who is comfortable active in the local community and developing a book of business.
Motivated to grow, learn, and assume greater responsibility in a bank that values local autonomy, not corporate layers.
Based in or willing to serve southern-Illinois markets and engage directly with business owners and community leaders.
Compensation & Benefits :
Base salary commensurate with experience
Annual performance bonus tied to growth and credit quality
Full benefits including health, dental & vision; life & disability; 401(k) employer match; generous PTO & paid holidays; professional development support
Why You’ll Like It Here :
This isn’t a large regional bank where you’re one of many. You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team where you’ll know your clients, your decisions matter, and you’re visible in the community. If you’re ready for a role where your performance—and your personality—can truly make a difference, let’s talk.
