Chief Engineer
The Chief Engineer has overall responsibility for all aspects of facility management services and / or operations. The Chief Engineer is ABM's primary point of contact for day-to-day operations. They will create an unwavering attitude and commitment to safety and reliability within the facility management environment. The Chief will drive continual improvements to the operation by creating an expectation of learning and development of their team members.
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience
- Five (5) years of Team Management experience
- Entry level Engineers with Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field and no work experience in
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field with three (3) years of work experience is preferredWithout a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field, seven (7) years of experience is preferredResponsibilities :
Oversee all aspects of the facility's critical physical infrastructureOversee the development and accuracy of site-level operating procedures and other documentationSupervise and escalate as needed ABM's response to after-hours emergencies at assigned facilitiesManage the Change Management ProgramManage the MOP, SOP and EOP ProgramAudit all CMMS databases for accuracy and completeness, produce reports as required at customer request, control system access and user credentialsEffectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures of assigned contractsManage the complete physical assets pertaining to the Operation and Maintenance of the critical and non-critical infrastructure equipment and systemsResolve all electrical, mechanical and Fire Protection System issues in the facilities while minimizing risk and business impact and communicate issues to management and customers in a timely mannerManage the customer relationship and act as the single point-of-contact for all facility-related issues, including schedules, new business, projects, budgets, expansion, and staffingSet, review and approve employee work / PTO schedules; audit and process employee time and payrollManage access to the facilities ensuring the appropriate access control lists are maintained and reviewed regularlyMake space and power recommendations to the customer and manage power and cooling capacity and environmental conditionsEnsure compliance of Customer SLA parameters and Change Control activities, review and approve all system changes (set-points, thresholds, alarm-points, etc.) which could impact customer operationsEnsure that ABM training expectations are met and audit the process monthlyIdentify, vet, and approve all sub-contractors who will perform work on-siteDevelop PM contract scopes-of-work, ensure contract terms are fulfilledMilitary and veteran friendly employer, veterans and candidates with military experience encouraged to apply.
