Opening Statement

Summerfield Waldorf School is seeking an Early Grades Assistant to assist our Class Teachers in Grades 1, 2 and 3 to create a loving, joyful, hygienic and rhythmic space for the children to thrive.

The Assistant responds to the Class Teacher's requests for support and intervention with the children as needed, works with intention, warmth and efficiency, and keeps care of the students and classroom foremost in mind.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• The Assistant helps promote the mood of the Waldorf classroom through :
• Assisting with or supporting children as directed by the Class Teacher.
• Assisting or supporting the children in dressing / undressing for outside play and dismissal time.
• Monitoring the play yard or indoor activities.

Compensation : $27.31 / hr
