CPC Certified OBS / OPS Coder

A company is looking for an OBS / OPS Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Abstracts clinical information from medical records and assigns appropriate ICD-10 and / or CPT-4 codes

Works with coding databases and confirms CPT codes while maintaining data for reporting purposes

Collaborates with the coding manager and team, demonstrating proficiency in multiple specialties

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Associate degree may be required

Certification from AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or AHIMA RHIT or CCS is necessary

Typically requires 4+ years of related OBS / OPS coding experience

Proficiency in multiple specialties is expected

Additional credentials may be beneficial
