Grain Merchandiser Responsibilities :

Capitalize on opportunities by making recommendations to management and staff regarding changes in the grain market

Build relationships within the community and outside customers

Trade a variety of crops : wheat, flax, canola, durum, corn, pulse crops, etc.

Provide a summary and distribute information to other stakeholders in the company including accounting and facilities staff

Monitor future markets on a regular basis

Grain Merchandiser Qualifications :

5-10 years of grain merchandising experience required

Proficient in various software systems

Strong communication and math skills

Experience with crops that are typical throughout the region
