Job Title : RN Clinical Nurse Critical Care

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum experience with direct patient care preferred

License : RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact

Certifications :

BLS - Basic Life Support or equivalent

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or equivalent

Must-Have :

Ability to read, write, and speak English

Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills

Ability to function in a fast-paced environment

Excellent time management skills

Evidence-based practice and analytical skills

Description :

The RN Clinical Nurse Critical Care is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team.

They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care.

This role involves practicing in a clinical environment supported by Nurse Managers and leaders.

The practice framework is guided by a Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practice and research.

RN competencies are derived from these models and are supported by core values.

All RN Clinical Nurses in Critical Care must be licensed and knowledgeable.

They uphold nursing practice as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act.

The individual implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards set by the American Nurses Association.

As a member of the patient services team, this role requires upholding patient voice while supporting system policies and service excellence goals.

Core responsibilities include performing the Nursing Process in clinical care.

This includes assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Nurses ensure that care is individualized by coordinating effectively with partners.

Relationship-based patient-centered care is consistently provided based on population-specific characteristics.

Collaboration with patients and significant others is essential, utilizing appropriate methods for communication.

Current clinical practice standards are adhered to throughout care delivery.

Coordination of safe quality patient care is a priority, promoting diverse and respectful interdisciplinary communication.

There is a focus on teamwork and collaboration, with an emphasis on fiscal responsibility.

Performance improvement is a key component, encouraging active participation from all stakeholders.

Professional development is required through ongoing competency assessments and education.

Nurses may serve as preceptors or mentors to ensure a qualified workforce.

Evidence-based practice and nursing research are promoted.

Participation in data collection and research to address clinical questions is encouraged.

Proactive planning for patient care across the continuum is essential.

Collaboration in developing protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes is expected.

Efficient and effective use of resources is supported.
