General Responsibilities

  • This is an Internship position.
  • Operate as a member of the Community Services team, providing services to clients in the areas of Homeless Prevention and Transitional and Rapid Rehousing programs.
  • Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.

Essential Functions

  • Meet with individuals in the office and in community settings including home visits to provide case management to program participants.
  • Assist with quality review processes.
  • Ability to relate well to families and individuals in crisis situations.
  • Must demonstrate fundamental communication and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers, other community agencies, and constructively with persons from all ethnic, racial, and social backgrounds.
  • Conduct Homeless Prevention Assessments and related documentation for that program
  • Provide Case Management for Transitional Housing and Rapid Rehousing clients, including service planning, social histories and other supportive services.
  • Learn office phone system including providing occasional coverage for reception absences.
  • Engage in research impacting client needs and compiling data reports.
  • Conducts Landlord Engagement and works with prospective landlords for housing.

    • Requirements :

  • Enrollment in an approved college program is required for this position, BSW Students are preferred with preference in areas of Social Work and Human Services. All degrees must come from a regionally accredited educational institution which has U.S. Department of Education approval.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable means of transportation and proof of liability insurance is required.
