What This Job Involves :
As a Mail, Shipping & Material Coordinator at JLL, you will work with diverse internal and external stakeholders at a client site in Eagan, MN, providing comprehensive shipping support services to the local team as well as administrative project work supporting the global account. This hybrid role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail while preparing courier packages, processing international shipments, and handling material waste stream management. You'll coordinate pick-up and delivery services while confirming delivery receipts and resolving related issues in a timely manner that reflects JLL's commitment to operational excellence and client satisfaction.
What Your Day-To-Day Will Look Like :
Essential Functions - Mail & Shipping :
- Prepare courier packages while coordinating pick-up and delivery and confirming delivery / receipt with appropriate stakeholders
- Provide backup support processing international shipments and validate documentation for handoff to designated freight suppliers
- Enter Bill of Ladings and record all incoming and outgoing packages (internal and external)
- Troubleshoot and fix issues with equipment and software while using data analytics to create shipping reports
- Support delivery and coordination of onsite pick-up of packages for employees
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisor
- Maintain work area in clean and orderly condition while following prescribed safety regulations
- Provide operational excellence through administrative support and sort / distribute USPS & PO Box mail
Essential Functions - Material Handling :
Process requests in client's waste stream profile system while transporting 5-gallon and 55-gallon containers of hazardous and non-hazardous lab wasteMonitor and manage requests for shipping preparation services while inspecting drums for proper labelingClose containers according to checklist including bung tightness, bolt location relative to labelPalletize and prepare for shipping according to checklist with proper pallet placement, banding, and manifest numbersFollow checklists with attention to details while planning work order for efficient completion within timelinesFollow all Health and Safety rules including personal protective equipment and material handling instructionsCommunicate to lab occupants and requesters for non-compliant waste shipments with follow-up on error findingsMaintain inventory of supplies including labels, liners, zip ties, and related materialsRequired Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalentAbility to interact with client personnel with strong customer service and interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to present information clearly and conciselyStrong computer skills and experience with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)High degree of accuracy for handling sensitive equipment and proper routing of shipmentsAbility to work in fast-paced environment while managing multiple work streams and prioritiesPhysical ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly with lifting, bending, twisting capabilitiesAbility to operate manual pallet jack, powered pallet jack, and forkliftsHigh degree of comfort learning new technologiesPreferred Qualifications :
Experience with international shipping processes and documentationBackground in material handling and waste stream managementKnowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous lab waste proceduresExperience with data analytics and reporting for shipping operationsUnderstanding of Health and Safety rules for material handlingFamiliarity with courier services and delivery coordinationLocation : Onsite - Eagan, MN
Estimated Compensation for This Position : 49,400.00 70,800.00 USD per year
This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
