Job Summary :

Perform corrosion control and prevention on military aircraft.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Perform routine aircraft maintenance functions
• Operate aircraft towing equipment in towing operations
• Maintain aircraft hydraulic systems
• Corrosion Prevention and treatment
• Aircraft Paint and LO training
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems and aircraft sub-systems.
• Service ground support equipment. Performs preventive maintenance inspections on all ground support equipment
• Use blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and manufacturers' drawings and sketches in the performance of assigned duties
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA, ALIS and required forms, as required by job assignment

This maintenance classification activity is usually accomplished in an indoor workshop environment. Activities may include climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. May require lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 lbs.

Work Environment :

The diversity of working conditions range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards exist.

The pay for this role is :

$36.95 per hour plus benefits (Cherry Point MCAS, NC)
