Our client is an industry-leading Insurance company that is seeking for a Senior Systems Programmer with deep expertise in Mainframe Support, Z / OS Systems Programming, and Enterprise Storage Administration . This is a high-impact role supporting mission-critical infrastructure across a large, stable environment.

Work Environment

You’ll be part of a high-performing infrastructure and mainframe engineering group supporting large-scale Z / OS environments. This is a role where technical mastery, initiative, and problem-solving are rewarded.

Hours : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM–4 : 30 PM + On-Call Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mainframe storage administration including : SMS, HSM, DS8000, TS7700, tape systems, allocation, DR, and backup / recovery
• Manage tickets, incidents, and escalations in ServiceNow
• Perform upgrades, installations, and tuning for Z / OS and third-party mainframe tools
• Troubleshoot performance issues and conduct root cause analysis in large-scale environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, application programmers, infrastructure engineers, platform architects, and operations
• Support critical workloads in a high-uptime, enterprise environment

Required Experience & Technical Skills

Relocation assistance is available for this role to be in either Albany, Springfield, or Houston

Compensation : $85,000 - 150,000 base salary DOE, plus an excellent benefits package.
