About The Position

Emergency Medicine Physician – Athens,Ohio

Overview :

Join a physician-led Emergency Medicine team at a busy regional hospital offering a supportive and collaborative environment.

Position Highlights :

ED Volume : ~28,000 annual visits

Beds : 22-bed Emergency Department

Coverage :

24 hours / day physician coverage (12-hour shifts)

36 hours / day APP coverage

Shifts : 7a–7p | 7p–7a | 5–10 shifts / month (nights & weekends)

EMR : EPIC

Employment Type : Independent Contractor or FTE

Credentialing : ~90 days

OT : Not applicable

Medical Staff Fees : Not reimbursed

Compensation :

💰 $270 / hour (negotiable, malpractice included)

Physician conversion fee cap : $18K–$20K

No overtime pay

Holidays at standard rate

📍 Location : Ohio

🕒 Shift Type : 12-hour shifts (day / night)

📆 Schedule : 5–10 shifts / month (primarily nights / weekends)

📊 Rate : $270 / hour (negotiable, malpractice included)

Job Requirements

Requirements :

Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Internal / Family Medicine with EM experience ✅

Ohio license or IMLC with LOQ (within 3 business days) ✅

2+ years recent EM experience ✅

Certifications : ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, NRP ✅

COVID vaccination required ✅

Clean background (no exceptions) ✅

Available for nights & weekends ✅

Malpractice coverage must be included in rate ✅
