Position : Physical Therapist Assistant (Travel Contract)

Location : Green Cove Springs, FL – Kindred Hospital North Florida

Type : 13-Week Travel Assignment

Pay Range : $1,350 – $1,550 / week (depending on experience)

Job Description :

Kindred Hospital North Florida in Green Cove Springs, Florida is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week travel contract . This is a full-time opportunity to join an interdisciplinary rehab team, delivering skilled therapy services in an acute care hospital setting.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant , you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to carry out individualized treatment plans, provide restorative care, and help patients regain mobility and independence during recovery. This is an excellent contract for a PTA looking to expand clinical experience in a hospital rehabilitation environment.

Responsibilities :

Assist Physical Therapists in implementing customized treatment plans

Deliver therapeutic interventions such as exercise programs, gait training, transfers, strengthening, and balance activities

Provide patient and family education on therapy techniques and at-home programs

Monitor and document patient progress under PT supervision

Collaborate with the rehab team including PTs, OTs, SLPs, nursing staff, and physicians to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements :

Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Florida (or compact eligible)

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (Associate Degree)

Minimum of 1 year of recent PTA experience, preferably in acute care or hospital rehab

Current CPR / BLS certification (as required by facility)

Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills

Gross pay range : $1,350 – $1,550 / week
