Position Summary :

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a X-Ray Technologist - Woodhull.

Under supervision, operates radiology imaging equipment to produce images for use by professional personnel.

Job Responsibilities :

• Applies roentgen rays and radioactive substances to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
• May specialize in taking x-rays of specific areas of body.
• Assists in treating diseased or affected areas of body, under supervision of physician, by exposing area to specified concentrations of x-rays for prescribed periods of time.
• Positions patient under x-ray machine, adjusts immobilization devices, and affixes lead to plates to protect unaffected areas.
• May assist in therapy requiring application of radium or radioactive isotopes.
• Makes minor adjustments to equipment.
• Prepares reports and maintains records of service rendered.
• Adjusts switches regulating length and intensity of exposure.
• Administers drugs or chemical mixtures orally or as enemas to render organs opaque.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

Preferred Qualifications :

5+ years previous experience.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $93,712.71 - $105,621.81 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses / incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
