SCOPE - Electromechanical Technician
The Electromechanical Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the reliability of electrical and mechanical equipment in a food manufacturing setting. You will focus on ensuring equipment reliability, practicing safe execution, complying with food safety standards, and reducing downtime through prompt and precise maintenance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Electromechanical Technician
Carry out scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance (PM & PdM) on production and utility equipment.Respond to urgent and routine maintenance needs to minimize equipment downtime.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and automated systems.Work with electrical components like wiring, switches, relays, sensors, and more.Assist with the installation and replacement of electrical components and PLC processors.Utilize PLC software for diagnostics, while collaborating with Controls Engineers for advanced troubleshooting.Document all work activities accurately in the CMMS system for compliance and tracking.Maintain and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals while adhering to safety protocols.Support a clean and efficient workspace, following all safety protocols.Be prepared to work in various environments, including cold freezers and confined spaces, with necessary PPE.Collaborate with team members to improve processes and troubleshoot effectively.Take on additional duties and special projects as assigned.SUCCESS CRITERIA - Electromechanical Technician
Work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.Adhere to all policies regarding Maintenance, Safety, and Food Compliance.Arrive on time and work the entire scheduled shift, with flexibility for overtime.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.Exhibit strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities.Complete work orders attentively and timely.Demonstrate a proactive mindset towards maintenance and continuous improvement.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS - Electromechanical Technician
High school diploma or GED required.3+ years of industrial maintenance experience; 6+ years preferred for senior-level candidates.Industrial Maintenance Certification or relevant technical degree is preferred.Strong skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.Proficient in 480V 3-phase system troubleshooting.Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC systems is a plus.Experience using CMMS, electrical schematics, and mechanical blueprints.Solid understanding of process control instrumentation and safety practices.Intermediate to advanced computer skills required.This is a full-time onsite position.JTM Food Group is an affirmative action / equal opportunity employer.
