Position Summary :

The Shipping Associate position is responsible for transferring finished product from the freezer onto refrigerated trucks.

Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities :

Using sit-down forklift, pull product out of blast and place in freezer racks and load / unload trucks.

Use hand-held scanner to scan product into inventory system.

Using wrapping machine, wrap product on pallets to specifications.

Ability to work safely in sub-zero temperatures (to -40 F) for periods of up to 2 hours.

Must be able to become forklift.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Follows all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions & policies.

Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.

Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and possess good leadership skills.

Must be able to use basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).

Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job.

Physical Requirements :

Standing 8 - 10 hours per day.

Operating powered industrial equipment.

Lifting up to 50 lbs.

Possible bending, stooping, twisting, and squatting.

Working Conditions / Department Description :

May work in damp and cold environment

Work with loud and noisy machinery

Work in dusty environment

Work with chemical or Fumes
