Role And Responsibilities
The Sr. Manager of Sales Innovation and Operations will lead strategic and operational initiatives that drive revenue growth, execute customer initiatives, optimize sales processes, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration across National Retail and Strategic Accounts and their partners. This role is responsible for developing scalable solutions, improving business efficiency, and ensuring alignment with company objectives through innovative sales strategies and operational excellence. The role will reside in the Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) business, within the National Retail and Strategic Customers Portfolio of Accounts. It will report to the Senior Director II of Strategy & Operations, and dotted line reporting into the VP GM of this portfolio.
Key responsibilities include understanding the Company and division's overall strategy and core business processes and systems, identifying root causes of problems, and employing data-driven approaches to solve them. The role involves extensive interaction with account leadership, customers, and functional experts to identify challenges and drive impactful solutions, ensuring the organization remains agile and competitive in a dynamic market environment.
Position Objective
- Develop strategic and operational plans, manage execution, measure, and deliver results to meet or exceed Sales goals
- Lead Cross Functional Task Force teams with key customers to drive sales, and improve partnership and efficiency
- Help set up new customers or new categories within existing customers
- Turn disparate data and reports into insights, driving increased visibility to leadership, enabling faster escalations / resolutions
- Lead large-scale process improvement initiatives, including project management, process design, development, and implementation
- Develop and track key sales KPIs, establish regular business review rhythms, and define escalation paths for cross-functional resolutions
- Partner with the business owners or leadership teams to establish continuous performance and quality improvement efforts
- Identify, document, and scale sales capability and operational best practices across all National Retail and Strategic accounts
- Streamline sales approval processes
- Closely partner with category business operation teams to validate business plans, ROI, and forecasts, helping the GM to hold sub-accounts more accountable to key metrics
- Regularly track the accounts' progress to KPI / bonus objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams that gather information to identify improvement strategies by understanding the organization's structure and being able to navigate the organization to effectively drive change management system or processes
- Stay educated on and share industry and competitive situation with the account and other leadership. Tie customer and competitor earnings reports to account and Samsung strategy
- Track and support annual customer negotiations
- Support major customer events like International Travel, Top to Top customer meetings
- Continuously refine systems and processes to align with evolving business strategies and industry standards
- Provide support for ongoing communications and negotiations with existing customers to ensure satisfactory performance while identifying customer needs, resolving issues, and developing new business opportunities.
Skills And Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS). MS / MBA is preferred but not mandatoryMinimum 8+ years of experience in a similar role or occupation performing sales, management consulting, project management, system implementations, budget management, and / or financial and operational analysisProven track record in sales, consulting, process improvement, operational strategy, and / or cross-functional leadershipExperience managing large budgets with the ability to explain investment allocation tied to short- and long-term business growthStrong financial acumen, with experience in budget planning, ROI analysis, and close partnership with Finance teamsStrong analytical and data-driven decision-making skillsExperience in financial and operational analysis and presentation to executive management teamsDemonstrated ability to identify areas of process improvement and manage improvement projectsExperience in business process review and analysis, managing departmental and project budgetsIn-depth use and knowledge of SAP platform, Excel, PowerPoint, WordSix Sigma certification is a plus
