The Riverside University Health System (RUHS) seeks a Program Coordinator I who will be assigned to theirPatient Experience & Quality Improvement Specialist unit. The Program Coordinator Iplays a vital role in advancing a culture of safety engagement and excellence across inpatient units the Emergency Department and Community Health Centers (CHCs). This position is responsible for conducting patient rounding facilitating staff education and supporting leadership rounding to strengthen communication collaboration and patient-centered care throughout the organization. The Program Coordinator I also leads survey initiatives and improvement efforts that drive measurable enhancements in patient experience and workforce engagement.
Additionally the Program Coordinator I oversees the implementation and management of Culture of Safety and Workforce Engagement surveys and conducts detailed data analysis for all CAHPS metrics. Results and insights are presented at key leadership forums including True North PIPSC ACC and ACQC to inform organizational strategies and priorities. Using these data-driven insights the Program Coordinator I develops and implements targeted improvement initiatives that enhance performance outcomes and patient satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include supporting the Patient and Family Quality and Safety Advisory Council and the Professional Practice Council as well as delivering educational sessions for both inpatient and community health clinic staff to promote consistency in best practices and quality care standards.

Establish program goals and objectives and determine priorities; provide supervision technical assistance and consultation to program staff.
Interpret and implement state and federal program mandates; establish and interpret program policy; monitor and evaluate program activities and budget expenditures; collect and analyze statistical data.
Develop and write proposals for grant applications; may determine medical eligibility and authorize expenditure of program funds for diagnosis and treatment or delivery of services.
Supervise staff in the preparation of case records the determination of financial eligibility the encumbrance of accounts and the preparation of required reports.
Communicate directly with physicians and other healthcare providers or managers concerning individual cases and administrative matters as appropriate.
Serve as liaison with funding authority and departmental fiscal unit regarding program financial issues.
Prepare annual and quarterly reports; meet with interested community organizations to promote program goals.
Conduct educational outreach activities and develop program information materials for distribution to organizations community groups schools and the general public.
Represent the department at meetings with local state and federal program representatives; prepare a variety of reports records and correspondence.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors degree with major coursework in health education nutrition healthcare or hospital administration public health business or public administration health science communication / journalism zoology early childhood education child development or a closely related field. (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis.)
Experience : Two years of administrative or supervisory experience which includes the coordination management or administration of medical care behavioral or public health environmental health animal services programs or early care and education programs.
Knowledge of : Administrative principles applicable to the organization and functions of program planning implementation and evaluation; elements of supervision and principles of personnel management; budget preparation and control; grantsmanship; medical terminology; public relations and marketing.
Ability to : Supervise train and coordinate the work of program staff; analyze operations and services related to programs; interpret legislative and administrative mandates and regulations to project probable impact to the organization; develop and prepare grant applications; monitor expenditures and maintain fiscal control; establish and maintain effective working relationships with local federal and state program agencies and the general public; prepare comprehensive and clear oral and written reports and presentations.

Pre-Employment
