Job description

Job Opening : Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

Job Type : Full-Time, Permanent

Location : Big Springs, TX 79720

Facility : Privately Owned Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (119-bed SNF)

Shift : 08 : 00 AM 04 : 30 PM

Schedule : MondayFriday + Weekend Rotation

Weekly Hours : 40

Pay Rate : $31 / hr $35 / hr

  • 4 hall nursing home with 1 hall dedicated to short term stays. It is a privately owned facility. The owner is the administrator. Large number of the administrative staff and hall staff have been with the owner for over 20 years.
  • Owner very pro rehab and we have an excellent rapport with them. Therapy has a strong relationship with all departments.
  • Facility recently remodeled and redecorated as well as the rehab gym. We have a very large outdoor area with a patio. Therapy has full autonomy of the outdoor area. The population is primarily geriatric but we are seeing more middle aged residents.
  • Currently 3 full time therapists on staff all of which have greater than 25 years experience.

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services under supervision
  • Support residents in achieving functional independence and improved quality of life
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Document treatments and progress in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
  • Engage residents in both indoor and outdoor therapeutic activities

    • Requirements :

  • Valid Texas OTA license
  • 6 month of OTA experience required
  • SNF experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for geriatric care and rehabilitation
