Staff Product Manager For Simulation Validation For ADAS

Work Arrangement : This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to the GM Global Technical Center in Warren, MI or Mountain View, CA three times per week, at minimum.

As a Staff Product Manager for Simulation Validation for ADAS, you will define and execute the strategy and roadmap for enabling high-fidelity, scalable and trustworthy Simulation based testing of the ADAS features deployed in GM cars. These are high priority production features with limited offline validation coverage today. This role will drive innovation in how we leverage Simulation to reduce the time to assess the safety and overall performance of the ADAS feature across the GM fleet of cars. You'll lead cross-functional efforts to drive alignment and roadmap across Simulation, AV Engineering, Systems Engineering and Safety teams.

Success requires strong technical judgment, principled decision-making, and the ability to build alignment across engineering, product, infrastructure, and operations teams. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, making tough tradeoffs, and thinking both from first principles and at fleet-wide scale.

What You'll Do

  • Own the long-term product vision, setting strategic direction for increasing the use of Simulation for ADAS feature development and validation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across product, engineering, systems, safety and program management to align on the validation approaches, goals and KPIs.
  • Identify synergies to unify Simulation validation approaches across different autonomy stacks.
  • Communicate very technically complex information in an easy to understand narrative to stakeholders across GM.
  • Help drive a data-driven culture and establish and monitor key metrics to measure the effectiveness of Simulation Validation for ADAS features.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • 5+ years product management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fields.
  • Solid understanding of the latest ADAS, Simulation platforms, validation workflows.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive projects forward, even without a clear path.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Proven ability to balance tradeoffs between user needs and expectations, technical requirements and constraints and business objectives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in writing, with the ability to effectively balance and integrate vision, strategy, and technical details in a cohesive narrative.
  • What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • An MBA or a master's Degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
  • Experience working on Autonomous Vehicles, ML infrastructure, or large-scale simulation / testing.
  • Compensation : The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.

  • The salary range for this role is $155,000 to $238,300. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

    Company Vehicle : Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program, through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate. Note : program participants are required to purchase / lease a qualifying GM vehicle every four years unless one of a limited number of exceptions applies.
