Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Float Pool

Nursing Care Associate Job Description :

This role plays a vital part in the overall care of our patients by assisting with routine and repetitive activities under the supervision of licensed nurses.

  • Assisting Patients : Assist patients with their daily needs, such as bathing, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Medical Support : Provide support to medical staff by preparing rooms for admission, setting up IV poles, and adjusting bed levels.
  • Transports and Safety : Safely transport patients to different units or areas of the hospital while maintaining confidentiality and security.
  • Equipment Management : Clean, procure, and return equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Communication : Effectively communicate with other team members during and between shifts to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements :

  • Meet applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Complete pertinent documents.
  • Prepares rooms for admission by setting up IV pots, and adjusting bed to the appropriate level.
  • Maintain security / confidentiality when transporting patients and interacting with family and visitors.
  • Identify obvious changes in the patient's condition and take responsibility for reporting those changes promptly to the nurse in charge.
