The path to becoming an Infantryman begins with rigorous training in the use and operation of various weapons systems, including small arms and anti-tank capabilities. The selected individual will be responsible for leading and supporting missions that involve capturing, destroying, and repelling enemy forces.
This role serves as a foundation for advanced schools, such as Special Forces, Airborne School, Ranger School, Sniper School, and Pathfinder School.
Requirements
A U.S. citizen or permanent resident holding a valid Green Card is required.
Applicants must be between 17 and 34 years old.
A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
Candidates must meet specific tattoo guidelines.
No major law violations can be present on the candidate's record.
Medical concerns are also subject to evaluation.
Testing & Certifications
22 nationally recognized certifications are available upon completion.
Infantry One Station Unit Training spans 22 weeks.
A minimum ASVAB score of 77 is required, specifically in the Combat (CO) domain.
