About the role :
The role is in support of Victoria Police Operational Communications in the areas of Public Drunkenness Reform and Quality Review.
The role is in the remit of the Operational Communications Division, State Emergencies and Support Command and is performed at the premises of a key stakeholder, ESTA (Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority) at 107 Overton Road, Williams Landing.
As part of a team of 4 Victoria Public Service staff dedicated to providing excellent customer service to the community and to key stakeholders both internal, and external to Victoria Police, you will contribute directly to the implementation of Public Drunkenness Reform in Victoria by providing support to Police officers in the field, and by providing a liaison point for community and government welfare and outreach services and other key stakeholders, such as ESTA, and in support of the Police Communications Shift Manager.
You will also contribute to the Quality Review team in facilitating the confidential provision of data and audio recordings for use predominantly in Police prosecutions. You will also facilitate Freedom of Information requests and provide information in answer to subpoenas. You will monitor and report on workload therein.
You will report to the Police Communications Division, Project Officer (VPS 4).
You will perform variable rostering (shift work), based on operational demand and at the direction of the Officer in Charge, Police Communications Division. Shifts may be any hours, any days in response to community needs and applicants will need to be flexible and agile.
