Our client is seeking a Senior Audit & Tax Manager for a reputable regional accounting firm. As this leadership role is ideal for seasoned CPAs with expertise in governmental and nonprofit audits, client management, and a passion for delivering excellence in tax and audit services.
Location : Marietta, Ohio, USA (with availability to work from St. Clairsville)
Please Note : Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Responsibilities :
Lead and manage audit and tax engagements.
Supervise and mentor staff of 4 direct professionals.
Review complex federal and state income tax returns.
Assess internal controls and identify areas of risk or inefficiency.
Ensure audit documentation is complete, accurate, and in compliance with firm policies.
Qualifications :
CPA designation (active or in progress)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GASB standards.
Strong relationship management and advisory skills.
Experience with governmental and nonprofit audits.
Proficiency in audit software (e.g., CaseWare, CCH, or similar)
Minimum 7 years of progressive public accounting experience.
Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Business Administration preferred.
Advanced understanding of audit methodologies and internal control frameworks.
1+ year in a Senior Manager role, with more than 2 years of audit management experience.
