Position SummaryThe Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair of electrical systems in residential homes. This includes wiring, controls, lighting systems, electrical panels, safety devices, and related components. Electricians respond primarily to service calls, while also completing planned maintenance and installations as needed.
This position requires strong technical skills, professionalism, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Experience in residential electrical repair and lighting systems is highly preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesService & Technical Work
Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical distribution systems and associated equipment.
Inspect and test electrical components, including main panels, breakers, transfer switches, and exterior services.
Diagnose electrical issues, propose solutions, and perform high-quality repairs.
Conduct complete home electrical inspections and identify opportunities to prevent future breakdowns.
Use the company’s pricing tools accurately and follow all service standards.
Re-check all repairs and installations before leaving to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Customer Experience
Serve clients by expertly addressing their full electrical needs.
Explain all services being performed and demonstrate the value of superior workmanship.
Establish rapport with customers to recommend the right products, services, and safety upgrades.
Offer club memberships and maintain strong conversion and renewal performance.
Professionalism & Presentation
Wear floor savers and maintain neat, clean work areas inside customer homes.
Uphold JDV’s reputation by communicating clearly, respectfully, and professionally at all times.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-inventoried work truck to maximize its value as a mobile billboard.

Work safely at all times, including proper PPE usage and safe driving practices.

Use tools and equipment properly and ensure safe job-site conditions.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED
4+ years of residential electrical experience preferred
- Service Titan experience is highly preferred
Demonstrable skill in electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance
Familiarity with current electrical codes and regulations
Strong customer service, communication, and technical presentation skills
Reliable, self-motivated, and flexible with work hours
Able to work independently and as part of a team
General knowledge of power tools and safe operation practices
Must maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screening
Physical DemandsClimbing up and down ladders and equipment regularly
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and carry at least 25 lbs up to 250 feet unassisted
Use of handheld power tools and specialty electrical equipment
Work in tight spaces, including attics, crawl spaces, and basements
Wear all required PPE
Ability to work more than 40 hours per week, including shifts up to 12 hours
Work EnvironmentWork both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Exposure to hot, cold, cramped, or awkward environments
Proximity to hazardous conditions and electrical risks
Exposure to loud noise, dust, bright or low lighting, and contaminants
Work on ladders, roofs, and scaffolding when necessary
