About the Role

This role is responsible for managing and leading suppliers for assigned programs (including BOM Management) and / or designated commodities / vendors. The position is accountable for supplier performance, cost reduction, and continuous improvement in inventory, on-time delivery, quality, and lead-time flexibility to meet operational goals and annual objectives.

What You'll Do

• Lead supplier selection, RFQ / RFP processes, and negotiate cost, delivery schedules, and inventory management strategies.
• Manage supplier performance through purchase order execution, change management, and updates to meet operational and customer expectations.
• Own procurement activities within assigned commodity areas or programs, ensuring cost, delivery, and quality requirements are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (planning, operations, quality, engineering, program management) to hold suppliers accountable for performance standards.
• Utilize ERP / MRP systems to identify material risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct quarterly supplier scorecard reviews and develop improvement plans.
• Review daily MRP exception messages and purchase order status reports; take corrective actions as needed.
• Identify alternate solutions for obsolete components and work with engineering for approval.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data in ERP systems and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support hazardous waste handling requirements in work areas.
