Lead Graphic Designer and Content Creator
The Lead Graphic Designer and Content Creator will work to advance the creative direction of marketing by designing and executing print collateral and digital content aimed at increasing awareness, achieving program-specific enrollment targets, and highlighting the impact of Harvard Medical School's vast portfolio of master's, certificate, continuing, executive education, and online programs.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Services, this individual will be responsible for fulfilling a wide range of inbound graphic design and creative services requests made by other members of the marketing team and key stakeholders, including printed program brochures, digital ads, social media graphics, and infographics.
Job Responsibility :
- Designs high-quality, impactful print and digital materials that communicate the value of Harvard Medical School education and drive program applications and enrollment.
- Initiates design concepts and creative kickoff meetings with marketing team members to support marketing asset production.
- Collaborates in content and storytelling brainstorms with marketing team members to identify new and different mediums for sharing learner testimonials, program impact stories, and interviews with faculty.
- Conceptualizes, produces, and edits engaging, short, and informal video content tailored for marketing campaigns and organic social media.
- Acts as brand steward ensuring compliance with the University's style guide in all designs.
- Utilizes project management software to organize and streamline the request process, keep stakeholders informed, manage the review process, and deliver projects and assets on time.
- Assists in managing relationships with external print vendors and contract designers; Responsible for sourcing quotes, negotiating prices, and discussing high-end options for print collateral.
- Provides quality customer service through project management, open and regular communication, feedback review process, and delivery.
- Stays abreast of creative trends, best practices, and competitive benchmarks in design.
Basic Qualifications
5 or more years of graphic design, digital content production, or relevant experience required. Higher education may count towards experience.Additional Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree preferred.Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite.Skilled at creating a compelling visual concept that resonates with target audiences.Proven project management skills, deadline-driven, and experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment. Experience with project management systems like Monday or Trello is a plus.Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Meticulous attention to detail, organized, and proactive.Demonstrated knowledge of video and audio editing, basic video production, and graphic design software to produce short-form video.Prior experience with email design and experience using a platform like Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.Benefits
