Asset Officer

To ensure a smooth operational planning of our equipment for our projects, we are currently looking for an asset officer. You will be supporting the dredge pipe department with the follow up of dredging assets on laydowns and on projects worldwide. Dredging assets consist of dredgepipes and other auxiliary equipment.

Your Responsibilities

You make sure all asset related data is correctly entered and maintained in the database;

You are responsible for making reports about the status of assets;

Ensure all assets are ready for use prior to the mobilization to a new project and arrange the repairs at the end of the project to ensure future use if feasible;

During projects, you travel to sites to check the condition of the assets (survey), visit Singapore, India and Nigeria yearly to inventorise and survey all assets. This to check and update our database and ensure all assets are ready for use.

You report deficiencies and make a plan with laydown supervisor to repair or upgrade assets;

You assist in setting out the criteria to which equipment is ready for use, to be repaired or to be decommissioned;

Able to work independently on upgrading certain assets : inventarise, make overview, update asset data base, order spare parts through purchase system Maximo, send out RFQ's to suppliers / subcons, follow up repair / upgrade works.

Your Profile

An associate degree or bachelor in a relevant field, preferably a technical background (f.e. Electromechanics);

Experience within our industry is a plus;

Meticulous in your work, eye for detail;

Costumer minded and a great team player;

Good communication skills in English;

You want to combine office-based work with a 'hands-on' approach of being in the field to perform inspections of dredge assets;

Able to go regularly to projects worldwide for business trips of 2 - 3 weeks.
