• $250,000+ Base Salary, negotiable dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE :

Serving the local community since 1929, this regional healthcare system is dedicated to providing full service primary care, specialty, inpatient, and outpatient services to the local community. Their offerings include, among others, pulmonology, endocrinology, rheumatology, anesthesiology, oncology, pediatrics, urology, carology, internal medicine, and family medicine. This is a very stable, thriving healthcare system with a CEO who s been at the helm for more than 30 years. All providers are employees of the system.

POSITION DESCRIPTION :

The new pediatrician will work in a standard capacity. The organization has contracts with other pediatric groups to minimize the amount of time their pediatricians have to leave the office, leading to most work being clinic-based.

Outside of the clinic, when needed, the pediatricians :

• do newborn checks
• attend c-sections
• round in the Level 2 NICU

The average number of patients per day varies, depending upon patient needs and physician schedule.

The volume is kept at an appropriate level to ensure proper patient care and the practice is happy to collaborate with the physician to determine visit lengths and daily volume.

The practice has extensive resources available, including an EHR and robust administrative support.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Louisiana medical license
• DEA
• Board Certified or Eligible, Pediatrics
