Structural Engineer / Designer – Industrial & Overhead Door Systems

Location : Canton, MI

Type : Full-Time, Onsite (Monday–Friday, 7 : 00am–4 : 30pm)

Salary Range : $80,000 – $130,000+ base (Negotiable) + end-of-year performance bonuses

About the Opportunity

For almost a decade, this Michigan-based manufacturer has been an industry leader and are now looking to add an experienced Structural Engineer / Designer to their Canton, MI team.

This role is ideal for engineers with experience in industrial or overhead door, structural steel, overhead conveyors, cranes, or material handling systems .

What You’ll Do

• Design, analyze, and oversee the structural components of large-scale industrial door systems.
• Produce calculations, structural drawings, and specifications in compliance with safety codes and project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, fabricators, and installation teams to ensure constructability and efficiency.
• Conduct stress analysis, load assessments, and related structural calculations for custom applications.
• Create and review AutoCAD drawings for structural steel design.
• Provide technical guidance during manufacturing, installation, and troubleshooting in the field.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and aligned with project scope.
