Certified Pharmacy Technician

Hospital Pharmacy opportunity for a Certified Pharmacy Technician. You will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy operations and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients. Your contributions will directly impact patient care and the overall efficiency of our healthcare services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and assist in managing stock levels.
  • Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
  • Utilize aseptic techniques in the preparation of IV infusions and other sterile products.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care outcomes.
  • Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with pharmacy practices.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program.
  • Strong knowledge of medication administration and pharmacy operations.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
  • Experience with IV infusion techniques is preferred but not required.
