Job Description :

The Sales Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects, analyzing blueprints, and working closely with engineers, architects, and internal teams to develop comprehensive bids. This role plays a key part in the sales process and helps ensure that project costs align with both client needs and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop detailed cost estimates by reviewing blueprints, specifications, and client requirements for construction projects.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and project managers to create customized solutions tailored to clients' needs.
  • Submit proposals in a timely manner, ensuring all client specifications and deadlines are met.
  • Communicate scope of work, cost breakdowns, and value propositions effectively in proposals.
  • Work with vendors to gather product information, technical specifications, lead times, and availability.
  • Participate in customer entertainment and engagement activities when necessary.
  • Follow up with clients after proposal submissions to collect feedback and refine future estimates.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the estimating and sales process.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field ().
  • 2-3 years of experience in cost estimating and proposal development
  • Estimating experience related to commercial grade projects
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, pricing structures, and market trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail in cost estimation and proposal development.
  • Proficiency in construction-related software, QuickBid, project management tools, OST, and Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Additional Details :

  • Some travel may be required for site visits, vendor negotiations, and client meetings.

    • Gas card provided for any needed travel, will be within a 30 mile radius of Charlotte Metro Area

  • The role involves significant computer work and document preparation.
