As a Substitute Teacher, you’ll play an essential role in maintaining a positive learning experience when classroom teachers are absent. You’ll deliver engaging lessons, support student learning, and ensure continuity in instruction across grade levels from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade.

This is a part-time, on-call position ideal for educators seeking flexibility, experience, and the chance to contribute to a mission-driven school community.

• Implement lesson plans and classroom activities provided by the regular teacher.

• Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.

• Manage student behavior effectively to promote a safe and productive atmosphere.

• Support students’ academic and social-emotional development.

• Collaborate with school staff and administrators to ensure continuity of instruction.

• Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (required)

• CBEST certification (preferred but not required)

• Experience working with students or youth programs (preferred)

• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills

• Enthusiasm for working with TK–8 students in a diverse, engaging environment
