Associate Engineer - Peterborough, NH

We are seeking an Associate Engineer to join our Applications / Design Engineering team at NH Ball Bearings. In this role, you will be responsible for design and modification of bearing components and assemblies to meet our customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for Applications Engineering and the Sales department through design layouts, sales drawings, and various databases.
• Produce internal components and vendor drawings.
• Investigate and analyze new materials, new specifications, new standards and engineering practices.
• Prepare engineering calculations, estimates, statistics, designs, reviews and updates.
• Identify all of the design risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide engineering recommendations and share best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations.

Job Skills & Abilities

Proficient at blueprint reading, engineering drawing interpretation and tolerancing.

Highly self-motivated with demonstrated problem solving skills.

Interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to partner effectively with employees at all levels.

Strong attention to detail.

Strong computer skills including AutoCAD, SolidWorks and MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access).

Programming is a plus (VB, VBA, C#, etc)

Education and Experience Required

A minimum of an Associates' Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related technical field.

Bachelors' Degree in Engineering preferred.

Design or manufacturing experience preferred.

Experience in aerospace industry is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Requires long periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
